Lady Green Leaves. Traditional English / Arranged by David J. Elliot. Published by Boosey & Hawkes, in their Doreen Raoe's Choral Music Experience series. Copyright 1996, 16 pages.
Arranged for 2-part treble voices, with piano accompaniment, plus tenor saxophone (part for b flat tenor sax included at back of choral copies). This listing is for two (2) copies.
This song begins with a folk-song treatment of the familiar English song, moving into a fast, upbeat jazz waltz, with jazz scat syllables used in a back & forth dialogue between the sax and chorus. "The challenge of the upbeat jazz waltz provides an opportunity for choristers to experience the energetic, dance-like feel in the jazz renditions of this well known folk-song." This arrangement cannot be performed without the tenor saxophone part.
